In a recent interview with Travel Weekly, Gavin Tollman describes a new style of tourism that he advocates which eschews the traditional packed itinerary format. Rather, travelers have the option of savoring destinations longer, enhancing the experience and increasing the level of comfort. A South African native, Gavin Tollman currently lives in Geneva, Switzerland. The businessman was a finance student at The American University before entering the hotel industry, where he held an executive position at Buckhead Hotel Management Co. Gavin Tollman then joined Trafalgar Tours USA, where his skills in internal restructuring helped him climb to higher positions. As global head of sales at Trafalgar Tours, he oversaw development and operations, sales and marketing, and product delivery. Gavin Tollman was made CEO of Trafalgar Tours and joined TTC South Africa as chairman in May 2010.
